Fireplace repair for damaged firebox walls, dampers that stick, and fires that smoke.

Allen is in Collin County and has a humid subtropical climate with long, hot summers and cool winters. The climate table on the city’s Wikipedia page lists an average January high of 52°F and an average January low of 30°F, which means many winter nights drop below freezing. Those are the nights Allen families light a fire, and they are also when a dirty or damaged chimney causes the most trouble.
Yearly sweeping keeps creosote from building up in the flue. Creosote forms when wood smoke cools inside the chimney, and a thick layer can restrict airflow and make the next fire smoky. Sweeping it out once a year, and checking the chimney while we are there, keeps the system working the way it should.
The same visit is a good time to look at the parts of the chimney you cannot easily see from the ground. A cracked crown or a missing cap lets water into the chimney, and the wet months of December through February bring regular rain to Collin County. Catching that early is far cheaper than repairing a soaked ceiling later.
Homeowners sometimes assume a newer chimney does not need a sweep. Age has little to do with it. Creosote builds up based on how often you burn and what you burn, and caps and crowns can be damaged by a single strong storm. Even if your Allen home is only a few years old, a yearly sweep and inspection is the easiest way to keep the fireplace ready and to catch small issues before the warranty or your patience runs out. If you burn wood often, tell us in the form and we will plan extra time for the sweep.
We serve homes throughout Allen, including the neighborhoods near Watters Creek, The Village at Allen, and Allen Premium Outlets, the areas around Twin Creeks, Allen Station Park, and Celebration Park, and newer developments such as Shaddock Park.

“Eli provided excellent service! My gas fireplace had been having issues for quite some time, and he quickly assessed the problem. He was upfront about the best way to handle it and honest about the limitations of a temporary fix. I really appreciated that he wasn’t pushy at all. When the time comes to replace the entire unit, I’ll definitely be reaching out to Eli to take care of it.”
